AcadArena, the home for campus gamers in the Philippines and Southeast Asia, signed a Memorandum of Understanding with National University and its whole ecosystem, for one of the first esports and gaming-focused academe industry linkages in the Philippines.
As an institution that believes in “education that works”, National University and AcadArena are committing to open more opportunities for student organizations in expressing their passion and love for esports and gaming.
The #NotJustPlay partnership aims to build the first-ever esports hub for students in the Philippines, allowing them to better understand what it's like working in gaming and esports; exploring sustainable and relevant methods to integrate esports and gaming education into the curriculum of NU Laguna, and overall to bridge the gap between the academe and the industry.
Present during the signing are Renato Carlos Jr. Ermita (President, NU Philippines), Dr. Rosauro Manuel (Executive Vice President, NU Philippines & Main campus), Benjamin Uichico (Managing Director, NU Laguna & Executive Director, INSPIRE).
All 8 campuses were represented by their respective academic directors.
