Calling all aspiring talents and broadcasters, the best casters in the Philippine esports industry has banded together to bring us The Madrigal Project (TMP.) The brainchild of Daniel “Leo” Cubangay, seeks to host a 6-8 week pro bono, free online course for aspiring esports broadcasters.

Much of the material is universal to the broadcasting industry and need not be locked to a specific game.

Daniel "Leo" Cubangay has this to say about his project: “I created The Madrigal Project, with the support of my colleagues, to help build up the next generation of esports talents in the Philippines. This is for OUR future as an industry.”

Leo is a radio DJ turned esports talent having casted and hosted for The Nationals, Mobile Legends Professional League, Philippine Pro Gaming League and many more. Other talents and professionals from the industry will also share their knowledge in the TMP.

In partnership with AcadArena, the leading campus esports program in the Philippines, trainees that complete the modules of The Madrigal Project satisfactorily will get gigs under the official games of the AcadArena come October.

On top of that, there will be special slots that will only be open to student applicants. Priority will be given to AcadArena Alliance member schools (your school org can apply here.)

“AcadArena believes in learning through practice. There’s nothing fully preparing you for a broadcast other than an actual broadcast. We want to extend the experience and opportunity through the Madrigal Project.Ariane Lim, Co-founder and Director of Student Programs of the AcadArena, adds.

Registration period will be from August 12 to 23. The program will accept only up to 8 applicants. 3 of which is especially reserved for students. One of those 3 slots is reserved for a female applicant to encourage more diversity in the casting scene.

Announcement of accepted applicants will be on August 28. The modules and training will commence in September.
