The Grind: Viridis Arcus from DLSU

Viridis Arcus (Latin for Green Archers) started out as a student team in 2018 looking to compete in  League of Legends tournaments. They joined the Alliance program as one of the pioneer orgs in 2020 as a 1-star member since they're still not an official org just yet.

Without having to worry about prize support, infrastructure and opportunities thanks to the program, the archers were able to focus.

Today, they're the 2-peat champs of the AcadArena University Alliance Cup for Valorant, the official collegiate league of Riot Games in the Philippines. They also won the Team Spirit award in the first AcadArena Awards held in February 2021.

These gamers turned leaders grinded the paperwork to finally apply as a student organization in De La Salle University-Manila.

Our CEO, Ariane Lim, personally sat with the students the day before their pitch for a mock presentation. 3 years of Viridis Arcus history is to be smushed within a 10 minute presentation.

On April 2021, the DLSU Council of Student Organizations announced the acceptance of Viridis Arcus as one of the aspiring organizations for accreditation.

They still have to go through the probationary period in the next few months. But these are happy problems towards greatness.
