The very first setup that I owned where I cultivated my skills while being inspired by the [people] I look up to [...] Without videogames, I will probably never acquire the determination I have today, those hard levels trained me to become determined to finish everything that I started and never surrender on your goals.
Games helped me go through tough times and helped me change for the better because of the responsibilities I had taken in several mobile/PC games and the people I got to know through these games [...] [My friends and gaming] allowed me to disregard what others [have] labeled me, and go out to experience what life has to offer.
We reach[ed] the number 1 team in Luzon and 2nd place [in the whole] Philippines. The recognition of the school and the support I get from my family and classmates inspired me to play better [in] the next tournament.
You know the saying that “the game is not over till it’s over”, well it was the same with me when I first organized my event. The event was called “Self-Love: Effects of Positive Psychology.” I arranged all the necessary requirements to offices that I needed equipment, files, and permission.
Pero in spite of my achievements sa Valorant, ang primary goal ko is ma-sustain ang good grades ko habang naglalaro kasi alam kong malaking tulong na kay Mommy ko ang scholarship na ito.
I would like to take this opportunity po to thank you all for making a scholarship program like this. Sobrang nakakatulong po talaga ito lalo na sa mga future aspiring varsity players po in their own competitive game [...] I’ll make sure that gaming will be one of the ways to finish my studies and be a Certified Public Accountant someday.
My family that used to forbid me from using the computer and playing games are now starting to support and understand my passions [...] My involvement in esports brought out a new side of me that was responsible and motivated which in turn also enriched my academic life.
