About the Build

Inspired by Minecraft's Nether and Overworld, the Nether represents the virtual world and the achievements that you can get with your friends no matter the distance. The Overworld symbolizes the return to our real lives and being able to balance the two. At the heart of the build is a large tree inspired by one of the many trees in the Ateneo de Manila University. This represents growth and friendships that continues to be made and strengthened. Two armored players symbolize the two friends reunited and being connected through the game. Surrounding the build are the rainbow coloured beacons which represent the different emotions that one may face when they meet their friends and play games together. The animals are an additional touch that represent a warm and welcoming environment that reflects the warmth of our campus. Lastly, we have the sun and the moon that symbolizes time. Friendships are not limited or bound by time as these connections remain constant as long as effort and care is being put into the relationship. Together these elements show that while gaming together often bridges the distance between us, the best part of it is the people you spend your time with.
